Gold Country Ramblers, 443, is a chapter of the international Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club (HRRVC) headquartered in Wakarusa, Indiana. The 443 chapter received its charter in 2003 and is made up of retired and working members, primarily located in Northeast California (Sacramento/Grass Valley area). Anyone owning a Holiday Rambler RV (trailer, fifth-wheel or motor home), old or new, small or big, that is in good standing with HRRVC (current member) is eligible to join. Gold County members enjoy local group outings, camp-ins (dinner or pot luck), mini-caravans, multi-chapter (4 chapters), state (10 chapters), region, and international rallies. The club outing is usually on the first weekend of the month, but it is up to the outing host to set the schedule. The activities can vary, but usually include all or some of the following: great food (potlucks/dinning out), hosted breakfast, games (indoor and outdoor), raffles, sharing a wealth of knowledge on a variety of rigs, special activities (tours, fishing trips, theater, sightseeing, and concerts). A normal outing is 3 or 4 days with arrival in the afternoon, social hour about 4 PM, dinner out/in/potluck around 6 PM, followed by games and socializing. Hosted breakfast, chapter meeting, lunch exploring shopping etc. on your own or in groups or a special group activity, social hour, potluck/out/in dinner, followed by games and socializing. Breakfast, on your own indoor games puzzles or crafts, outdoor group game, social hour, dinner, games. Hosted continental breakfast and farewell. Since some of our members are working full time we try to have most of our club outings within a 2-3 hour driving distance from Sacramento. Chapter dues are $12 per year plus a one-time initiation fee of $10. Please feel free to join us for an outing or two to check us out before joining. -- Kent Vander Linden, Membership
